Chattahoochee Tech will convert from a quarter to semester system beginning with the Fall 2011 semester, a move that furthers the goal of seamless education for Georgia students. For more information visit CTC's Q2S page.
The three colleges that comprise the newly merged Chattahoochee Technical College each have a strong supporting foundation: The Foundation of North Metro Technical College, the Appalachian Tech Foundation, and the Chattahoochee Technical College Foundation.
Technical college foundations are separate and independent nonprofit (501c3) organizations established to support the students and programs at each college. The three foundations continue to operate independently at this time, but are exploring the possibility of merging to form one foundation that supports the new Chattahoochee Technical College.
The boards intend to maintain a focus on local campus needs that mirrors the college’s direction of “one college, multiple campuses, community focused.” As always, donor wishes will be followed and funds directed by a donor will be used as stipulated. Existing donor agreements will continue to be enforced and the merger will not affect those agreements and the use of directed funds. Donors may continue to give to any of the three foundations and may direct their gifts to be used at specific campus locations, for specific programs, specific scholarships or for other needs.
